The CartRip™ adapter, used in conjunction with the BackBit Chip Tester allows you to rip a variety of cartridges to a binary file on the inserted Micro SD card.

Description

Capable of ripping a variety of cartridges. If you have a cartridge that you want ripped that is not yet supported, firmware support can be added.

Currently available adapters are:

  • Atari 2600
  • Atari 5200/7800, Tomy Tutor, Vectrex
  • Atari 400/800/XL/XE, ColecoVision
  • Commodore 64/128
  • Commodore VIC 20
  • Intellivision

Note that rippers may have mixed success with homebrew carts, including but not limited to: Security features, undocumented banking schemes, and/or electrically incompatible circuits. I’ll do my best to help you get good rips, but there may be some limitations.
